Over the weekend of Friday September 15, the sidewalk adjacent to the Bellagio fountains was completely shutdown. This was done so that grandstands could be erected, allowing paying fans to view Formula 1 (F1) races in November. This move was preceded by tree removal the previous week.
The Bellagio sidewalk has been a popular place for vendors, tarot readers, and musicians to setup for years. Now many of them will be displaced.
